Makes 2 servings
1/2 cup boiled and sliced mushrooms (khumbh)
1 tbsp frozen green peas
1/2 cup fried paneer (cottagte cheese) cubes
1 cup tomato puree
2 tbsp fresh cream
2 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp poppy seeds (khus-khus)
2 tsp ginger-garlic (adrak-lehsun) paste
salt to taste
1/4 tsp chilli powder
2 tsp coriander (dhania) powder
1 tsp garam masala
pinch of turmeric powder (haldi)
pinch of red colour
oil for cooking
Method
- Method
- Heat oil in a pan and add the poppy seeds.
- When the seeds crackle, add the ginger-garlic paste and saute for 30 seconds.
- Add tomato puree and saute till the oil seperates.
- Add all dry masalas, mix well and add the cream and saute it till oil seperates.
- Add half of the milk and cook till oil seperates and gravy leaves the sides of the pan.
- Add the mushrooms and peas saute for some time.
- Add the remaining milk and paneer peices and simmer for 5 to 8 min.
- Serve hot garnished with coriander.
