Ingredients


1 cup besan (Bengal gram flour)
2 cups sugar
2 3/4 cups ghee
1 tsp saffron (kesar) strands
1 1/2 cups water

Method

  1. Heat ghee till smoke comes (take care not to blacken it).
  2. Pour it on the besan flour. stir well, add saffron and keep aside.
  3. In a kadai add sugar and water and bring to boil.
  4. When the sugar dissolves completely add the besan mixture.
  5. Keep on stirring on a low flame till the mixture leaves the side of the pan.
  6. Pour immediately into a greased thali and cut into desired shape.
