Nourishing Broth recipe - How to make Nourishing Broth

Serves 8.
2 tbsp masoor dal (split red lentil)
1 onion, chopped
2 bayleaves (tejpatta)
3 tbsp chopped carrots
2 tbsp chopped potatoes
3 tbsp chopped french beans
3 tbsp chopped cabbage
2 tbsp chopped tomatoes
4 tsp oil
salt and black pepper (kalimirch) powder to taste
Method
- Method
- Soak the masoor dal for 1 hour.
- Heat the oil and fry the onion and bay leaves for 2 minutes.
- Add the masoor dal and chopped vegetables other than tomatoes. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Add 6 teacups of water and cook covered on a slow flame for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Add the tomatoes and boil for a few seconds.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper and serve hot.
