Makes 3 sandwiches
Paneer Kulcha Sandwich
6 kulcha bread
3 tbsp mayonnaise
3 tbsp green chutney
1/2 cup diced mozzarella cheese
3 tsp butter
For The Stuffing
2 tbsp oil
2 tsp finely chopped green chillies
3/4 cup finely chopped onions
3/4 cup finely chopped capsicum
1 1/2 cups chopped paneer (cottage cheese)
2 tsp pav bhaji masala
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
2 tsp lemon juice
salt to taste
- Method
- To make {span class="bold1"}paneer kulcha sandwich recipe{/span}, heat oil in a broad nonstick pan, add green chillies, onions and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
- Add the capsicum, paneer, pav bhaji masala, turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt to taste. Mix well and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Add coriander and lemon juice. Mix well, divide into 3 equal portions and keep aside.
- Place 2 kulcha breads on a clean dry surface, apply ½ tbsp mayonnaise and ½ tbsp green chutney on each kulcha bread.
- Place a portion of the stuffing and spread it evenly. Add 2 tbsp of cheese evenly over it.
- Cover with the other kulcha bread chutney faced downwards.
- Pre heat the sandwich griller and grease it lightly using ½ tsp butter. Place the sandwich over it and apply ½ tsp butter over it.
- Close it and grill for atleast 5 to 8 minutes or till the sandwich turns golden brown and crisp in colour from both the sides.
- Repeat steps 4 to 8 to make 2 more sandwiches.
