Makes 6 rotis
For The Dough
3/4 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
1 tsp oil
1/4 cup chopped fenugreek (methi) and
1 tbsp curds (dahi)
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
a pinch asafoetida (hing)
1/2 tsp sugar
salt to taste
For The Topping
1/4 cup chopped fenugreek (methi) and
1 tbsp grated paneer (cottage cheese)

- Method
- Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, mix well and knead into a soft dough.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll out each portion into a circle of 6" diameter, using the flour for rolling.
- Heat a tava and cook each roti till golden brown spots appear on both the sides.

- Just before serving, sprinkle a little topping on top of each roti.
- Place them on a pre-heated grill for 1 minute.
