2 cups pahari rice (chawal)
1/2 cup urad dal (split black lentils)
1/2 cup chana dal (split Bengal gram)
1/2 cup toovar (arhar) dal
2 pinches asafoetida (hing)
10 to 15 whole black peppercorns (kalimirch)
15 to 20 curry leaves (kadi patta)
3 to 4 whole dry kashmiri red chillies
salt to taste
Method
- Soak dals and rice together for 3hrs.
- Mix in the remaning ingredients.
- Adding water grind into smooth paste.
- Use a nonstick pan to make crisp dosas.
- Serve hot with coconut chutney
