This is a very healthy daal dish that can be eaten by little children as well as health conscious people as it doesn't have the hot spices. it can be also eaten with warm jeera bread or garlic breads.
Paustic Daal recipe - How to make Paustic Daal

1 cup masoor dal (split red lentil), boiled
3 cups vegetable stock
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup chopped brinjals (baingan / eggplant)
1 cup chopped cucumber
1 onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic (lehsun), grated
cumin seeds (jeera) powder
black pepper (kalimirch) powder to taste
2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
2 green chillies, finely chopped
salt to taste
2 tbsp oil
Method
- Heat the oil in a pan and add the onions and garlic.
- Saute till onions are trasperent.
- Add the celery and cook till its a little soft, then add cucumber and eggplant and saute till soft.
- Then add salt, green chillies and jeera powder to the vegetables and also add the vegetable stock.
- Cook on a slow flame for 5-7 mins.
- To this add the boiled massor
- Garnish with coriander and serve with garlic rotis or masal rotis or plain parathas.
