Peach Stew

A pleasant concoction of canned peaches in thickened fruit syrup, peach stew can be served warm or cold as a simple dessert or used as part of other creations. The lemon juice balances the flavour of the fruit syrup and imparts a fresh aroma to the stew.

Makes 2 cups
1 small can (450 gms) peaches
2 level tsp cornflour
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp lemon juice
Method
- Method
- Cut the peach into halves. Keep aside the syrup.
- To the fruit syrup, add the corn flour and sugar.
- Boil for a little time, while stirring continuously, till it becomes thick. Then add the lemon juice and peaches.
- Use as required.

Have enjoyed this recipe since i was a kid. Nothing like having peaches in a stew. Works only with tinned peaches.
