Peelee dal is a delicious lentil preparation with dhuli moong and masoor dal. The dals are cooked with chopped onions and spice powders and may be enjoyed with rice or rotis garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
Peelee Dal recipe - How to make Peelee Dal

1/2 cup washed moong dal (split green gram)
1/2 cup washed masoor dal (split red lentil)
2 onions, chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
2 green chillies, chopped
4 cloves of garlic (lehsun)
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp garam masala
2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania) leaves
2 tbsp ghee
salt to taste
Method
- Heat ghee in a pan. add zira in it till it crackles.
- Add chopped garlic, fry for few second now add chopped onoins till golden brown.
- Add chopped green chillies and tomatoes cook for two minutes.
- Add 3 cups of water to pan and boil it, now add seasoning and washed dal.
- Presure cook it for one whistle.
- Add choped green corriander leaves.
- Serve with paranthas.
