Makes 12 pizza bites
To Be Mixed Into A Filling
3/4 cup pizza sauce
5 tbsp chopped coloured capsicum
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup boiled sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
1 tsp dry red chilli flakes (paprika)
1 tsp dried oregano
salt to taste
Other Ingredients For Pizza Bites
12 bread slices
12 tbsp grated processed cheese
1/2 tsp dried oregano for sprinkling
1/2 tsp dry red chilli flakes (paprika) for sprinkling
2 tbsp melted butter
For pizza bites
- For pizza bites
- To make {span class="bold1"}pizza bites{/span}, remove the crust from all the bread slices.
- Place a bread slice on a clean, dry surface and cut them into approx. 62 mm. (2½”) diameter round using a cookie cutter or a vati.
- Roll each slice with a rolling pin.
- Press the rolled slices into the cavities of a muffin tray which is lightly greased with butter.
- Put 1 tbsp of the prepared filling inside each cavity.
- Sprinkle 1 tbsp grated cheese, little oregano and little chilli flakes evenly over it.
- Bake in a pre-heated oven at 200ºc (400ºf) for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Serve the {span class="bold1"}pizza bites{/span} immediately.
