Makes 2 sandwiches
1 onion , finely chopped
2 potatoes boiled and mashed
2 carrot , finely chopped
1/2 cup green peas
1 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
1 tsp urad dal (split black lentils)
1 pinch turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp green chillies , finely chopped or paste
1/2 tsp ginger (adrak) (adrak)
a few curry leaves (kadi patta)
1 tbsp coriander (dhania) leaves
salt to taste
Method
- Method
- Heat the oil in a non-stick pan
- Add the mustard and urad dal.
- When they crackle add all the other ingredients along with little water and cook on a medium flame till all the ingredients are mixed well.
- Toast the bread slices.
- Apply butter on them and put the filling on half the bread slices and cover the sandwich with another piece of bread.
- Serve immediately.
