of pure ghee.
can also eat with curds.
Rice with Masala recipe - How to make Rice with Masala
Preparation Time: Cooking Time: Total Time:
2 cups rice (chawal)
2 cups moong dal (split green gram)
GRIND:-
1 desert spoon coriander (dhania) seeds
6 black peppercorns (kalimirch)
6 whole dry kashmiri red chillies
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
little tamarind (imli)
1 coconut
salt to taste
Method
- Wash and strain the rice and moong dal.
- Extract 2 cups juice from coconut,keep aside.
- In a vessel add 3 spoons ghee and masala and fry the rice and dal mix well, when slight brown add coconut juice.
- And now add masala water 3 fingers above rice and moong dal mixture.
- Stir well.
- Cover and cook well till khichdi is dry.
