Spicy Puris - Snack recipe - How to make Spicy Puris - Snack
Preparation Time: Cooking Time: one half Total Time:
4 cups puffed rice (kurmura)
2 tbsp oil
2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp asafoetida (hing)
4 to 5 red chillies , crushed
8 to 10 curry leaves (kadi patta)
3/4 cup peanuts
1/2 cup green peas
3/4 cup of coconut pieces , salt to taste
Method
- Method
- Heat oil in a frying pan, add mustard seeds, turmeric and asafoetida until they start crackling.
- Add red chillies, curry leaves, peanuts and fry for 2-3 minutes.
- then add split peas, coconut pieces and fry for 2 minutes.
- add salt, puffed rice and mix well for 5 minutes.
- Store them in an airtight container when cool.
