1 1/2 cups plain flour (maida)
1/2 tsp salt

Method

  1. Sieve the flour and salt together.
  2. Add the hot water gradually and make a soft dough.
  3. Knead for a while and keep aside for 30 minutes.
  4. Apply oil on your palm and knead the dough until it becomes smooth and ealstic.
  5. Roll out thinly on a flavoured surface, using a rolling pin and cut into 25 to 30 squares of 75 mm. (3").

   Hi Sunita, Kindly refer to step 4, we do use little oil to smoothen the dough.

I always store these wrappers in my freezer, they are very quick to make with different stuffing when you have unexpected guest come in...i usually make fillings of mixed vegetables in spicy sauce, cheese and spring onions or you can also make with paneer, spinach and chillies....deep-fry them and see how crunch they are from outside and soft from the inside....
