This is a very crisp pakoda with slight tangy taste. This can be served with coriander - mint sauce

Makes 4 servings
1 cup peeled and thinly sliced sweet potato (shakarkand)
1 1/2 cups rajgira flour
salt to taste
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper powder
1 tsp powdered cumin seeds (jeera)
2 tsp sesame seeds (til)
oil for frying
To Be Mixed Together For The Marination
2 tsp oil
salt to taste
3 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper powder
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp roasted and powdered cumin seeds (jeera)
Method
- Method
- Add the sweet potato slices to the marination, mix well and keep aside for 30 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix rajgira flour, salt, pepper powder, cumin powder,sesame seeds and water as required to make a thick batter.
- Dip all marinated sweet potato slices in the batter.
- Deep fry in hot oil till crisp or light brown in colour.
- Serve hot.
