Makes 4 to 6 servings
To Be Mixed and Grounded Into A Paste
5 whole dry kashmiri red chillies
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
2 tsp tamarind (imli) pulp
salt to taste
a pinch of asafoetida (hing)
1/2 tsp grated jaggery (gur)
2 tbsp grated coconut
water as required
Other Ingredients
2 tbsp oil
1/4 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
2 raw bananas , peeled and cubed
finely chopped coriander (dhania) for garnishing
Method
- Method
- Heat the oil in a kadhai and add the mustard seeds.
- When the seeds crackle, add the bananas and a little turmeric powder.
- Add the grounded paste and mix well. Cook on a slow flame till the bananas becomes soft and tender.
- Remove from the flame and transfer it in a serving bowl.
- Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
