This thuvaiyal can be taken with hot rice and ghee/sesame oil . roasted papad goes well with this thuvaiyal rice. this thuvaiyal also goes well with adai, dosa, idli etc

2 cups grated coconut
4 to 5 red chillies
1 pinch asafoetida (hing)
1 tsp urad dal (split black lentils)
1 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
few curry leaves (kadi patta)
a small ball tamarind (imli)
Method
- First take kadai add 1 teaspoon oil then after its heated add mustard.
- Then urad dal and red chilles fry little then put the grated coconut, redchillies, curry leaves tamarind and salt in mixie and grind to paste adding little water after grinding finely add the mustard and urd dal and grind coarsely then transfer this to a glass jar.
