A protein rich and flavorful Tofu cilantro sandwich ,ready to be served with chilli sauce or ketchup. The tofu cubes are stir fried with fresh chopped cilantro or coriander and spiced up aptly before placing on the bread slices. An easy and healthy sandwich recipe for all.

Ingredients


8 slices of whole wheat bread
4 slices of tofu (like cheese slices)
1 tomato, sliced (1 cm. in size)
1 medium sized onion, sliced (1cm. in size)
1 potato, boiled and sliced (1cm. in size)
2/3 tbsp tomato ketchup
salt and black pepper (kalimirch) powder to taste
CINATRO CHUTNEY- INGREDIENTS
2 cups chopped coriander (dhania)
1 inch piece ginger (adrak)
1 jalapeno pepper or green chilli
3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
3/4 tbsp brown sugar
salt to taste
water as required

Method

  1. Lightly toast the bread and wrap them in foil.
  2. Make cilantro chutney from given ingredients.
  3. Take one slice of bread and apply tomato ketchup about 2/3 tb.sp.
  4. On another slice apply cilantro chuteny.
  5. On ketchup slice of bread put tofu slice, then tomatoes, then onoin ring and lastly put potato slice and sprinkle with black papp pwd.er ans salt as required.
  6. Now cover with the slice, with cilantro chutney.
  7. Cut diagnally and serve.
  8. Same way fix all other sandwiches.
