Varsha's Beetroot Halwa recipe - How to make Varsha's Beetroot Halwa

Makes 4 servings
500 gms boiled and grated beetroot
200 gms sugar
250 ml milk
1/2 cup broken cashewnuts (kaju) or
2 tbsp ghee
a pinch cardamom (elaichi) powder
Method
- Method
- Heat 3 tbsp ghee in a kadhai, add the beetroot, pistachios and saute till they turn golden brown.
- Add the sugar and saute for 2 minutes.
- Add the cardamon and mawa and saute till the mava is cooked.
- Remove from the flame and serve hot garnished with chopped nuts.
