Walnut Crunch recipe - How to make Walnut Crunch

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:    Makes 10 to 12 crunches

Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups walnuts (akhrot) powder
1 1/2 cups cashewnuts (kaju) powder
1 tsp butterscotch essence
1/2 cup butterscotch flavoured praline powder
1 tbsp roughly chopped cashewnuts (kaju)
1 tbsp roughly chopped walnuts (akhrot)
ghee for greasing

For The Garnish
1/4 cup pistachio slivers

Method
    Method
  1. Heat a kadhai, add the sugar and enough water that covers the sugar completely.
  2. Boil it till it forms one string consistency syrup.
  3. After the syrup is formed switch off the flame add the walnuts powder and cashew powder and mix well.
  4. Again switch on the flame and cook till the mixture leaves the vessel and forms a ball.
  5. Remove from the flame and put the mixture on a greased plate and cool.
  6. Add the butterscotch essence, 2 tbsp of butterscotch flavoured praline powder, cashewnuts and walnut pieces and mix well.
  7. Grease your hands with little ghee and shape the mixture into equal portion small round balls.
  8. Roll on the butterscotch flavoured praline powder.
  9. Garnish with pistachios and serve.

  1. This crunchies can be stored in an air tight container for 10-12 days.
