Makes 4 servings
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
4 tsp chana dal (split bengal gram)
1 tsp chopped garlic (lehsun)
1/4 cup chopped onions
2 chopped tomatoes
2 tsp sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
2 tbsp green peas
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp coriander (dhania) powder
salt to taste
2 cups soaked bajra (black millet)
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp chopped green chillies
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp chopped ginger (adrak)
chopped coriander (dhania) for garnishing
Method
- Method
- Heat the oil in a pressure cooker, add the mustard seeds,cumin seeds, chana dal, curry leaves, garlic, ginger and mix well.
- Add the onions, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, carrot, peas,corn, bajra,s alt,tomatoes,lemon juice,coriander and some water and pressure cook for 2-3 whistles.
- Serve hot.
