Brussels Sprouts with Balsamic Vinegar and Honey

Some veggies and fruits make very tempting and satiating snacks because they have a wonderful taste and texture, especially when laced with tangy and spicy sauces and seasonings.
Here, we have made one such snack with Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts are seasoned with salt and pepper, baked to perfection and served with a touch of vinegar and honey.
Indeed, the Brussels Sprouts with Balsamic Vinegar and Honey is as tasty a snack as you can ask for – with the added benefit of being super healthy.
This snack is low in calories and loaded with fibre, making it a good choice for weight-watchers. Vitamin C in this recipe acts as an antioxidant to build your immunity and fight against inflammation.
Honey gives a touch of sweetness, which balances the tartness of vinegar beautifully. Olive oil is a wise choice to make this recipe with, as it is very heart-friendly.

Makes 1 servings
1 cup brussels sprouts halves
1/2 tsp balsamic vinegar
1 tsp honey
1 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp sea salt (khada namak)
freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) to taste
- Method
- Combine the brussels sprouts halves, olive oil, sea salt and pepper powder in a deep bowl and mix well.
- Transfer them on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil.
- Bake in a pre-heated oven at 200ºc (400ºf) for 10 minutes, turn them over and bake again for 10 minutes.
- Transfer them into a deep bowl and immediately add the balsamic vinegar and honey and toss well.
- Serve immediately.
