  1. Pressure cook the colocasia for one whistle.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a non stick pan and stir fry the boiled arvi till light brown. Remove and keep aside.
  3. Heat the remaining oil and temper with the cummin seeds and asafoetida.
  4. Add the chopped onions, ginger, garlic and green chillies and saute till light brown.
  5. Add the tomato paste, and all the dry masalas and continue to saute for a minute.
  6. Now add the arvi and salt and fry for 2-3 minutes. When done, serve, garnished with coriander.
