Makes 3 servings
100 gms cream cheese , softened
2 cups fresh pumpkin
1 cup brown sugar or confectioners sugar
1 tsp cinnamon (dalchini)
1/2 tsp ground ginger (adrak)
1/2 tsp nutmeg (jaiphal)
1 tbsp orange or lemon zest
Method
- Method
- Steam the pumpkin pieces, cool and puree.
- Cream the cream cheese and pumpkin puree together in a large bowl.
- Stir in the remaining ingredients. Taste and adjust the sugar, if necessary.
- Chill.
- Serve in (what else?) a small hollowed-out pumpkin, if desired.
- Serve with your choices of:
- Apple wedges, banana rounds, cherries, or other fruit
- Sugar cookies, vanilla wafers, ginger snaps
- Crackers, toast points
