Especially for high blood pressure using natural source of sodium is safer then using regular salt form. Like coconut water, spinach, cabbage. We can use small quantities of all these in same soup and notice that additional salt is not required at all for this beautiful soup.

Comfort Soup recipe - How to make Comfort Soup

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:    Makes 2 to 3 servings

Ingredients

2 cups coconut water -
1/4 cup finely chopped cabbage
1/2 cup blanched spinach (palak) puree
2 tbsp finely chopped yellow capsicum
1/4 cup mashed boiled raw banana
2 tbsp finely chopped tomatoes
2 tbsp finely chopped onions
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
a few curry leaves (kadi patta)
salt and freshly ground black pepper powder to taste

To Garnish
grated paneer (cottage cheese)

    Method
  1. Heat the oil in a kadhai and add the cumin seeds.
  2. When the seeds crackle, add the curry leaves and onions and saute till they turn golden brown.
  3. Add the capsicum, cabbage, tomatoes, banana and saute it.
  4. Add spinach puree, coconut water, salt, pepper and bring to boil.
  5. Simmer for 2 minutes and serve hot garnished with grated panneer.
