Easy Aam Ki Launji recipe - How to make Easy Aam Ki Launji

Ingredients

500 gms raw mangoes , peeled and sliced
400 gms sugar
2 tbsp oil
1 1/2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
1 tsp fenugreek (methi) seeds
1 tsp fennel seeds (saunf)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
salt to taste

    Method
  1. Weigh the mango pieces and weigh equal quantity of sugar and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add fenugreek ,mustard and fennel seeds and saute till seeds turn golden brown.
  3. Add the mango slices, turmeric and salt, mix well and cover and cook on low heat for approx 5-7 minutes or till cooked.
  4. Add sugar and chilli powder ,mix well and cook on low flame (without lid) for approx. 10 minutes.
  5. When gravy thickens, remove form the flame and keep aside to cool.
  6. Store refrigerated.
