French Fries in Barbeque Sauce

Watch French Fries transform into an exciting starter , with a little help from capsicum and barbeque sauce.
The crunchy and mild spiciness of capsicum improves both the mouth-feel and taste of this dish, while a dash of barbeque sauce gives it a fabulously spicy and smoky flavour.
Serve the French Fries in Barbeque Sauce immediately on preparation while the Fries are still crisp. These fries will also make an exciting accompaniment to Burgers .

Makes 2 servings
1 1/2 cups frozen french fries
oil for deep-frying
salt to taste
5 tbsp barbeque sauce
1 tbsp oil
1/4 cup thinly sliced capsicum
- Method
- Heat the oil for deep-frying in a deep non-stick pan and deep-fry the french fries till they turn golden brown and crisp in colour. Drain on an absorbent paper and sprinkle little salt and toss well. Keep aside.
- Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan, add the capsicum and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.
- Add the barbeque sauce, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute.
- Add the french fries, mix gently and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while tossing occasionally.
- Serve immediately.
