Ingredients


For Homemade Whole Wheat Burger Buns
2 cups whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
1/2 tbsp instant dry yeast
1 1/2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tbsp soft butter
1 tsp olive oil
1 tbsp milk for brushing
1 1/2 tsp sesame seeds (til)
1 1/2 tsp olive oil for brushing

Method

  1. To make {span class="bold1"}homemade whole wheat burger buns{/span}, combine the yeast, sugar and 1/4 cup of warm water in a deep bowl, mix well and cover it with a lid and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Combine the whole wheat flour, salt and the prepared yeast mixture, mix well and knead into a soft dough using 3/4 cup warm water.
  3. Add the butter and olive oil and knead well till smooth.

   1 cup is the standard cup available in the market which is 200 grams. However depending upon the density of the ingredient, the weight can vary with each ingredient.

It was good but the buns were a bit dense might be because my cup measured 250ml and I read afterwards that the cup used by was 200 ml

I tried and followed your recipe and method completely but there were no instructions about placing the baking tray on which shelf so after pre heating I kept the tray in the lowest slot which resulted in burning of the buns at the base.my effort failed .please suggest remedy .I''ll be grateful to you .

   While baking the bun, make sure that both the coils in the oven are put on. Always place the tray in the middle rack of the oven, so the buns bake uniformly.

Hii I wish to know what ml size of cup have you used .. 200 ml or 240 ml? Also it shall be nice if the flour could be mentioned in grams. Thanks!

   We use the standard cup available in the market which is 200 ml. 2 cups of whole wheat flour is approximately 215 g.
