How To Make Homemade Apple Sauce
by Tarla Dalal
Apple Sauce is a pretty handy ingredient, which lets you add a pleasantly fruity touch to any dish, especially desserts and steel-cut oats recipes.
It can be made easily and quickly and is pretty healthy as you do not need to sweeten it with sugar or any other sweetener. To get this natural sweetness, you need to use red apples. Green apples are sour and will not serve the purpose.
Once cooked, store the homemade apple sauce in an airtight container in the fridge, where it stays good for at least five days.
Use it as a topping on desserts , pancakes or steel-cut oats breakfast recipes.
