Makes 2 to 4 servings
1 cup chopped mint leaves (phudina) leaves
2 green chillies , chopped
1/4 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
1/4 tsp urad dal (split black lentils)
a pinch of asafoetida (hing)
a pinch of turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tbsp lemon juice
salt to taste

- Method
- Heat the oil in a kadhai, add the mustard seeds, urad dal and asafoetida nd saute on medium flame till the seeds crackle.
- Add the turmeric powder, green chillies and mint leaves, mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the salt and lemon juice and mix well.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
