The khashay is the grandmother's home remedy recipe to cure respiratory problems, cold and cough. The herbal mix khashay is made with tulsi leaves blended with spices like cinnamon, cloves and pepper and mixed with jaggery or sugar syrup.

1 ltr water
5 " piece of ginger (adrak)
300 gms jaggery (gur)
5 to 6 lemongrass (hare chai ki patti)
2 tbsp black pepper (kalimirch) powder
Method
- Boil water in a vessel and add jaggry and cook till it melts.
- Now add ginger(crushed)cokk till 10 mins till the aroma comes.
- Now add pepper and cook for 20 mins on slow fire.
- the khashay is ready for people suffering from cold
