Makes 4 servings
2 cups whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
1/2 cup mango pulp
a pinch salt
a pinch cardamom (elaichi) powder
3 tsp sugar
oil for deep frying
Method
- Method
- Add a pinch of salt to the flour and sieve it two times.
- Combine the flour, mango pulp, cardamom powder and powdered sugar in a bowl and mix well and knead into a smooth stiff dough adding water if needed.
- Cover it with a wet muslin cloth and keep aside for 30 minutes. Knead again and divide the dough into small round balls and roll them into small puris of 4" diameter.
- Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry the puris till they turn golden brown from all the sides.
- Serve hot.
