A specialty rice preparation, methi sprout pulao is a wonderful mix of chawal, methi(fenugreek leaves) and bean sprouts. A recipe which is as tasty as healthful.

Ingredients

1 cup fenugreek (methi) seeds sprouts
2 cups rice (chawal) , washed and soaked
3/4 cup freshly grated coconut
2 onions , finely chopped
2 tsp sugar
salt to taste
1 tbsp pulao masala
2 tsp chilli powder
2 tbsp oil

Method
    Method
  1. Heat the oil in a deep pan, add the sprouts and saute for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the pulao masala and chilli powder, mix well and saute for more 2 minutes.
  3. Add the rice and saute for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the remaining ingredients, along with 4 cups of water, cover and cook on a medium flame, till the rice is cooked, while stirring regularly in between.
  5. Serve hot.
