A delicious snack recipe made using puffed rice which are soaked in water and are made soggy and wet.

Makes 3 to 4 servings
5 cups puffed rice (kurmura)
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1 tbsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
1/4 cup curry leaves (kadi patta)
salt to taste
1/2 tbsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/4 tbsp asafoetida (hing)
1/2 cup chopped coriander (dhania)
Method
- Method
- Wash the puffed rice, drain and keep aside.
- Heat the oil in pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
- When the seeds crackle, add the asafoetida and curry leaves and saute for 10 seconds.
- Add the soaked puffed rice, salt and turmeric powder, mix well and saute for 3 minutes.
- Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
