Makes 6 to 8 servings
1/2 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
salt to taste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp crushed cumin seeds (jeera)
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) powder
1/2 tsp crushed fennel seeds (saunf)
1/4 cup finely chopped beteel leaf
water to make the batter
a pinch baking soda
2 tsp hot oil
Method
- Method
- Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and make smooth semi thick batter using water. Add soda and mix well.
- Heat oil for deep frying and drop small round bhajiyas in it. Deep fry untill crisp and brown.
- Drain and serve hot.
