Paneer and Tomato in Green Gravy recipe - How to make Paneer and Tomato in Green Gravy

Makes 4 servings
3/4 cup paneer (cottage cheese) cubes
1 cup deseeded tomato cubes
1/2 cup curds (dahi)
2 tsp oil
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp garam masala
salt to taste
To Be Mixed Into A Smooth Green Paste (using 1/4 Cup Of Water)
1 cup roughly chopped coriander (dhania)
1/4 cup roughly chopped onions
1 tsp roughly chopped green chillies
1 tsp roughly chopped garlic (lehsun)
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
- Method
- Combine the curds and ¼ cup of water in a bowl, mix well and keep aside.
- Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan, add the prepared green paste and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
- Add the curd-water mixture, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt, mix well and cook on a slow flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.
- Add the tomatoes, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 3 minutes , while stirring occasionally.
- Add the paneer, mix gently and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute, while stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot.
