Makes 6 servings
To Be Mixed Together For The Poatato Mixture
3 big boiled and mashed potatoes
3 green chillies
1/2 tbsp chilli powder
1/2 tbsp garam masala powder
1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania) leaves
1/2 tbsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1/2 tsp dried mango powder (amchur)
salt to taste
To Be Blended Into A Green Chutney
100 gms coriander (dhania) leaves
6 to 7 green chillies
1/2 cup chopped onions
2 to 3 tbsp curds (dahi)
salt to taste
Other Ingredients
500 gms sliced paneer (cottage cheese)
butter for greasing
Method
- Method
- Preheat an oven to 250° c.
- Grease a baking tin with butter and keep aside.
- Divide the potato mixture into 2 equal portions and spread one portion of the potato mixture in the bottom of the dish evenly.
- Now place a few slices of the paneer as the 2nd layer.
- Apply a few spoons of the green chutney on the paneer slices.
- Continue making layers of the paneer and green chutney.
- The last layer should be with the 2nd portion of the potato mixture and spread evenly.
- Apply 1 tbsp of butter on the top layer and bake in the oven at 300°c for 25 minutes or till the top layer turns light brown in colour.
- Serve hot.
