Makes 4 to 6 servings
300 gms paneer (cottage cheese)
1 1/2 cups thick curds (dahi)
2 tbsp cashewnuts (kaju) paste
2 tbsp melon seeds (charmagaz) paste
1 tbsp ginger (adrak) paste
1/4 cup grated tomatoes
salt to taste
a pinch sugar
1/2 tsp chilli powder
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp butter
Method
- Method
- Heat the oil in a pan, add the butter.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and saute for a minute.
- Add the cashew and melon seeds paste and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the tomato and saute for one minute.
- Add the whisked curds, mix well and add the salt, sugar and chilli powder and 1/2 cup of water.
- Cook for 2 minutes and add the paneer and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Serve hot.
