Pudina Dal Kebab recipe - How to make Pudina Dal Kebab

Makes 4 to 6 servings
To Be Mixed Together For The Filling:
3 tbsp chopped mint leaves (phudina)
1 onion , finely chopped
some grated processed cheese
2 green chillies , finely chopped
Other Ingredients
3 cups chana dal (split bengal gram) , soaked
5 bread slices , crumbled
2 tsp red chilli powder
2 tbsp plain flour (maida)
2 tsp ginger-garlic (adrak-lehsun) paste
1 tsp dried mango powder (amchur)
2 tsp garam masala
salt to taste

- Method
- Combine the dal with ginger-garlic paste and salt, mix well, add enough water and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
- Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
- Mash the dal and add the bread crumbs, chilli powder, dry mnago powder, garam masala and maida and mix well.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and make small balls out of it.
- Flatted each ball and place a portion of the filling in between, cover and flatten so as to seal tightly.
- Roll the rolls in little plain flour and keep aside.
- Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry each ball they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides.
- Drain on an absorbent paper and serve immediately.
