Puffed Rice Delight recipe - How to make Puffed Rice Delight

Makes 2 to 3 servings
1/4 cup puffed rice (kurmura)
2 green chillies
1 chopped onion
a few curry leaves (kadi patta)
salt to taste
2 tbsp oil
a pinch turmeric powder (haldi)
a pinch chilli powder
a pinch asafoetida (hing)
1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
1 tsp lemon juice
1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
Method
- Method
- Soak the puffed rice in water for 5 minutes and squeeze out the water by pressing with your palms and keep aside.
- Heat the oil in a kadhai and add the mustard seeds.
- When the seeds crackle add turmeric powder,hing,curry leaves,green chillies,onion and tomatoes and cook for 4-5 minutes on low flame stirring occasionally.
- Add the soaked puffed rice and cook for 2 minutes stirring continuously.
- Serve hot garnished with coriander and lemon juice.
