The above prepared chutney can be consumed with idli, dosa and parantha, or also with upma and pongal.
Quick Cucumber Chutney recipe - How to make Quick Cucumber Chutney

Makes 2 to 3 servings
1 big cucumber
50 gms roasted chana dal (daria)
1 cup coriander (dhania)
2 to 3 green chillies
1 tsp tamarind (imli) pulp
1/4 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1/4 cup freshly grated coconut
1/2 tsp oil for seasoning
1/4 tsp fenugreek (methi) seeds
1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)

- Method
- Combine all the ingredients and blend in a mixer into a coarse paste.
- Heat the oil in a kadhai and add the mustard seeds and hing.
- When the seeds crackle, add the ground paste and cook on low flame for a minute.
- Serve immediately or store refrigerated.
