Raw Banana Spicy Strips recipe - How to make Raw Banana Spicy Strips

Makes 4 servings
3 raw bananas
3 tbsp besan (bengal gram flour)
1 tsp rice flour (chawal ka atta)
4 tbsp oil
a pinch of turmeric powder (haldi)
a pinch of asafoetida (hing)
1 tsp chilli powder
salt to taste

- Method
- Peel and cut the bananas into thin slices lenghtwise and place them in water to prevent them from turning black.
- Combine the besan, rice flour, turmeric powder, hing powder, chilli powder and salt in a dish and mix well.
- Heat the oil in a kadhai, roll the banana slices in this mixture and deep fry till they turn golden brown and crisp.
- Drain on an absorbent paper and serve hot.
