Makes 16 bhajias
1 cup leftover rice (chawal)
1 tsp ginger-green chilli paste
6 to 8 curry leaves (kadi patta)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
salt to taste
water as required
oil for deep frying
For Serving
green chutney
tomato ketchup
Method
- Method
- Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and mix well.
- Divide the dough into 16 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball.
- Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry, a few at a time on a medium flame till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides.
- Drain on an absorbent paper.
- Serve immediately with green chutney and tomato ketchup.
