Strawberry and Amla Jam recipe - How to make Strawberry and Amla Jam

Makes 1 bottle
1 cup chopped strawberry
1 1/2 cups chopped amla (indian gooseberries)
2 cups sugar
2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
2 tbsp chopped almonds (badam)
1 tbsp dried rose petals
1/2 tsp saffron (kesar) strands
water as required

Method
- Method
- In a pan, pour water till sugar dissolves and make sugar syrup of one thread consistency.
- Pressure cook amla for 2 whistles, cool and cut into small pieces or make a fine paste in a mixer.
- In sugar syrup, add amla and strawbeery pieces, boil till the fruit becomes transparent.
- Add kesar, elaichi powder, mix well and add rose petals and almonds.
- Mix well and garnish with rose petals.
- Serve with bread or rotis.
