Strawberry Cheese Tarts

Here is a dainty and exotic dessert of tarts topped with a creamy cheesy filling, laced with enchanting fresh strawberry sauce, and garnished with fresh strawberries.
We have used readymade cream cheese with thick curds to make the filling. This not only gives a luscious mouth-feel but also saves time.
The sauce made of mashed strawberries gives the Strawberry Cheese Tarts a very refreshing aroma and lingering taste, which contrasts beautifully with the cheesy filling.
When strawberries are in season, make sure you try this recipe. It can be served as a dessert , or even served to kids as a snack.

For The Strawberry Sauce
1/2 cup mashed strawberries
1 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp cornflour
1/2 tsp lemon juice
a drop of red colour
For The Filling
3/4 cup cream cheese
1/4 cup thick curds (dahi)
3 tbsp powdered sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla essence
For The Garnish
10 sliced strawberries

- Combine all the ingredients along with 5 tbsp of water in a broad non-stick pan, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 6 to 8 minutes, while stirring continuously. Keep aside to cool completely.

- Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and mix well using a whisk. Keep aside.
How to proceed

- Just before serving, fill each tart with a little prepared filling and then top it with a little prepared strawberry sauce.
- Serve immediately garnished with a sliced strawberry.
