Sooji carrot ka halwa is a North Indian sweet dish prepared from grated carrot(also known as gajar) cooked with sooji ( rawa or semolina)sugar, ghee and spices like cardamom. A delicious dessert dish which can be served as a snack or after meal sweet!

Ingredients


1 medium sized bowl of semolina (rava)
2 medium sized bowl of grated carrot
1 medium sized bowl of sugar
1/2 medium sized bowl of ghee
1/4 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
1/2 bowl of mixed nuts (cashewnuts, almonds, pista, raisins)
2 1/2 medium sized cups of water

Method

  1. In a pan add ghee, put suji and saute till it turns golden brown.
  2. Now put carrot and saute for 5 min.
  3. Add sugar and wateri n it and let it cook.
  4. Put nuts and elaichi powder.
  5. Cook till water evaporates and frying pan leaves ghee aside.
  6. Your delicious and healthy halwa is ready
