Sweetened Peach with Vanilla Ice-Cream is one such dessert , which everybody will fall in love with. Indeed, who can resist a preserve of peach, cooked with sugar and spices, served with luscious vanilla ice-cream. The cinnamon-tinged peach flavour will linger on your taste buds for a long time after the cup is wiped clean.

Makes 6 servings
2 cups roughly chopped peaches
3/4 cup sugar
1 clove (laung/lavang)
1 small stick cinnamon (dalchini)
1 tsp lemon juice
For Serving
vanilla ice cream
- Method
- Combine the peaches, sugar, clove, cinnamon and 1 tbsp of water in a broad non-stick pan, mix well and cook on a slow flame for 20 to 25 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Add the lemon juice and mix well.
- Cool and serve with vanilla ice cream.

This peach stew is a dessert by itself and tastes great when served hot. You can add a bit of ice cream if you wish. My kids loved it.
