Ingredients

10 to 15 fresh tulsi (indian basil) leaves
1/2 to 1 fresh lemongrass (hare chai ki patti) , cut into 50 mm. (2”) pieces
25 mm (1") piece ginger (adrak) , grated
6 cups water
4 tsp jaggery (gur)

    Method
  1. Wash the tulsi, lemongrass and ginger.
  2. Boil water in a deep pan , add tulsi, lemongrass and ginger and boil for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add gur, mix well and turn off the gas.
  4. Let it stand for 1 minute.
  5. Strain and serve hot

  1. To make the Tulsi ka kada, first the most important ingredient is Tulsi, it has a lot of health benefits. A perfect home remedy in a cup for common cold and cough. You can sip on this kadha multiple times in a day, just store it and heat it before you want to drink it.

  3. Remove the leaves from the stems.
  4. Place them in water for 2 minutes to get rid of excess mud and dirt.
  5. Strain it using a strainer.
  6. Wash the lemongrass leaves and keep aside.
  7. Take a piece of ginger, wash it thoroughly. Peel the outer skin using the blunt end of the knife or a peeler.
  8. Grate using a grater.
  9. Take a deep-non stick pan, add 6 cups of water and let it boil.
  10. Add tulsi leaves.
  11. Add lemon grass.
  12. Add grated ginger.
  13. Mix well.
  14. Boil for 3-4 minutes.
  15. Add jaggery.
  16. Mix Tulsi Ka Kadha well and turn the flame off.
  17. Let Tulsi Ka Kadha sit for 1 minute. Strain the Tulsi Ka Kadha.
  18. Serve Tulsi Ka Kadha immediately.
