A complete culinary delight, turai dosas are as unique as they sound. With cooked turai or gourds as filling, the dosa tastes great with coconut and chilli chutney.
Turai Dosa recipe - How to make Turai Dosa
Preparation Time: Cooking Time: Total Time:
1 cup soaked rice (chawal)
ridge gourd (turai)
2 tsp coriander (dhania)
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
5 tsp fenugreek (methi) seeds
a pinch of turmeric powder (haldi)
tamarind (imli)
jaggery (gur)
red chillies
grated coconut
salt to taste
Method
- Grind all the ingredients with rice except turai
- Make round slices in turai.
- Dip each slice in the batter
- Keep them in the heated tava
- Cook in slow flame till done
