Method

  1. Cook the dal in pressure cooker.
  2. Heat a cooking pan. put oil, add jeera and wait till it crackles.
  3. Add turmeric powder. next add ginger, chilly and garlic.
  4. Saute it for half a minute.
  5. Add chopped onions, keep stirring till it turns light brown.
  6. To this add capcicum and tomato.
  7. Cook till the vegetables turn tender.
  8. Add the boiled dal and salt to taste.
  9. Add 2 cups water and bring it boil.
  10. Serve hot. garnish with chopped corainder leaves.
